Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Sites also use similar browser storage (“local storage” and “session storage”) and small pieces of code (tags). We call all of these “cookies” here.
The cookies we use
Necessary (always on)
- What they do: keep the site and forms working and secure, remember your privacy choices, and protect our forms from spam (Google reCAPTCHA).
- Set by: Pack & Load Services; Google.
- How long: for your visit, until you clear your browser, or as set by Google.
Analytics (on in the US and Canada; you can turn it off)
- What they do: count visits and show which pages and links are used. Our own analytics stores a random browser ID, a session ID and the campaign that brought you, in your browser’s storage. Google Analytics sets its own cookies.
- Set by: Pack & Load Services; Google.
- How long: our browser ID until you clear it; Google Analytics cookies up to about 2 years.
Advertising (on in the US and Canada; you can turn it off, and GPC or Do Not Track turns it off)
- What they do: measure whether our ads work and, when allowed, show you relevant ads on other sites.
- Set by: Google and other advertising partners.
- How long: up to about 2 years.
In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising stay off until you accept them.
Your choices
- The cookie notice at the bottom of the screen lets you choose OK or open Settings. You can change your mind at any time with the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is saved in your browser.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends GPC, advertising is switched off for that browser; basic analytics continues.
- Do Not Track: we handle it the same way as Global Privacy Control.
- Your browser can block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may stop forms from working.
- Google offers its own opt-outs for Google Analytics and for personalised ads.
